If a hotel wants my business, then they need to help me handle working from the road. They need to think like a business traveler.
I always have my laptop with me, my cell phone and headset, travel clock, MP3 player and a small backpack of business supplies. I enjoy the convenience of using my own room as an impromptu office - in my PJs, yet!
It's important to be able to work comfortably in my hotel. Here's my short list of Business Traveler's Hotel Must-Haves:
These are the important things I seek in a hotel room when traveling. Notice that free breakfast, concierge, nice lobbies, free newspapers, pretty little soaps, good pillows, cable TV and a room with a view are lesser considerations. Don't get me wrong - I like those things. But when you boil it all down, I am just trying to get some work done.
