The Anaheim Convention Center, located on West Katella Avenue near Harbor Blvd. in Anaheim, CA, offers services to convention attendees and meeting planners. The 53-acre facility has 815,000 square feet of exhibit space, making it the largest exhibit facility on the West Coast.

All halls are directly accessible from the lobby/registration pre-function areas, making exhibition halls easy to find. In addition, over 50 meeting rooms are available, including a main ballroom that measures more than 38,000 square feet – one of the largest available in any convention center. All the meeting and ballroom space in the convention center has been newly constructed and features a sleek, modern look.

Outdoor Business Meetings in Anaheim

Meeting planners can take advantage of the beautiful southern California weather by organizing a meeting outdoors – over 100,000 square feet of outdoor meeting space is available at the Anaheim Convention Center, as well as surrounding hotels. In addition, convention attendees can enjoy some California sunshine on one of the many benches and seating areas outside, many of which are shaded by palm trees and surrounded by lush gardens.

Anaheim Convention Center Conveniently Located Near Hotels, Shopping and Restaurants

Meeting attendees will enjoy the proximity of the convention center to other area attractions. The facility is located within walking distance of 17 hotels and motels, including the adjacent Hilton Anaheim and Anaheim Marriott (known as the “Anaheim Center Walk”).

What's more, business travelers to the Anaheim Convention Center can walk to the “Garden Walk,” an open air shopping and dining district with shops and restaurants for every taste. The over 400,000 square foot facility houses over 50 world-class retailers and eateries, including McCormick and Schmick's, P.F. Chang's, Chico's, O'Neill, Tommy Bahama, and Aveda.

A Rich History and Modern Look for the Anaheim Convention Center

The Anaheim Convention center has come a long way since its arena was built in 1960. Three major expansions over the years have resulted in a convention center that is a destination in itself. Visitors can enjoy the walls of windows in the main lobby and on terraces above and take in sweeping views down Convention Way and across Katella toward Disney's theme parks.

In 2007 and 2008, the convention center unveiled a $4.1 million renovation to the aesthetics of its Katella Avenue entrance, including a fountain as a main centerpiece. The arena's exterior also was given a dramatic update to incorporate glass elements from the convention center's facade.

Getting to the Anaheim Convention Center and Center Walk

The Anaheim Convention Center is located at 800 West Katella Avenue in Anaheim, CA, near Harbor Blvd. and the 5 freeway. Business travelers can also use the Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) trolley system to travel to and from the convention center.
