Diet Tips for Business TravelersSticking to Healthy Meal Plans and Weight Loss Plans on the Road
Business travelers diet tips help dieters stick to weight loss plans while traveling. Includes tips for sticking to healthy meal plans and out of town exercise.
Business travelers know that it’s almost impossible to stay on a diet when traveling for business. Long nights out with clients often include eating delectable, calorie-laden four-course dinners. Even more frequently, traveling to small towns means cruising to the only restaurant open past 9 pm (hint: it will have a drive-through). Either way, business travelers on a diet can all too quickly pack on the pounds. Travel diet tips for business travelers include sticking to a weight loss plan, eating healthy meals and seeking out opportunities for exercise. Healthy Diet Meal Plans on the RoadIt’s critical to stick to a healthy diet meal plan while traveling. Leaving the house without a weight loss plan can throw even the most organized business person into a tizzy. It’s enough to try to get through out of town business meetings without succumbing to the temptations of platters of stale cookies and donuts. Trying to remember what’s included in a diet meal plan can prove impossible on the road. A purse-size or wallet-size copy of a weight loss plan should be kept with business travelers’ luggage all the time. In addition, downloading a copy of a healthy meal plan to a PDA or notebook can be a life-saver. This gives busy travelers an easy way to review a weight loss plan in the privacy of a hotel room in the evenings. Stick to Weight Loss Plans at SupermarketsA weight loss plan doesn’t have to be hard to stick to while traveling for business. Before leaving, look online to find grocery stores close to the airport or to the hotel. Upon arrival, head to the grocery store to pick up dinner. A salad bar is available in most grocery stores and most of the items available will fit in a weight loss plan. Supermarket delis are more than willing to make up a low-fat sandwich to go. Sushi is another diet option for business travelers that’s included in most weight loss plans and available at large grocery stores. Dieting and Travel Easier with ExerciseDieting and travel is much easier in a hotel that allows for plenty of exercise. A pool or a gym can help business travelers stay on a diet. Well-lit grounds and trails or sidewalks make walking a pleasant way to burn off steam- and calories- after the workday has ended. When packing for a business trip, comfortable sneakers and workout wear or a bathing suit should be included alongside toiletries and business attire. In the absence of a gym or a place to walk, business travelers trying to stay on a diet can head to the mall for a quick power walk and window shopping session. Avoid the food court at all costs when dieting and traveling.
