» danflorio - Carry ons? Check ins?

So, do you prefer the one-bag-no-checking lifestyle? Or do you travel heavy and take what you want without worry? Have you lost luggage while flying? What kind of bags do you recommend for travelers?

In response to Carry ons? Check ins? posted by danflorio:

I generally travel with one carry-on suitcase, my laptop case and a small purse. Both the laptop case and purse fit under the seat and the carry-on in the overhead. It saves me time getting out of the airport and since I usually travel by myself, less stuff to schlep around. I'll only add a check-in if the trip is longer than 2 weeks.

I hate checking my bags. When I get off that plane I usually sprint down the jetway and get the heck out of the airport. Standing there at that merry-go-round waiting and waiting and waiting........for the bag that never comes...it's so demoralizing...I think it's the number 53 cause of suicide...
