Next thing you know, they will charge not to put you in the middle seat.

I hate aisle seats, people and carts are always hitting you as they go by. Maybe they will discount my window seats happy

I like aisles since I get up a lot. I feel trapped by the window, although I like looking out and it's much more comfy to lean on the wall when napping.

The middle seat sucks, sucks, sucks. You don't get an arm rest that you don't have to fight over, and you kinda have to stare straight ahead for however long your flight is, if you have people on both sides. Plus I am paranoid about germs on flights. I so often get colds from flights that I am seriously thinking about wearing surgical masks and gloves.

I really think the aisle fee is a low blow for travelers.

I still have not flown Northwest, so I haven't had to deal with this fee issue personally yet. But I don't like germs either. I never touch public things with my bare hands, I use my sleeves to open doors mostly, stuff like that.
